Jill Anderson APRN, FNP-BC

Medical Director
PictureJill Anderson APRN, FNP-BC
Jill was born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois area.  After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a charge nurse in the spinal cord ICU, the Medical Intensive Care Unit, and the Emergency Department – all at Northwestern. She then went on to work at the Memorial Hospital in Chicago where she was a charge nurse, preceptor, and researcher.  Her vast experience makes her invaluable in her role as Medical Director at Emeritus Health.  Jill joined Emeritus Health in the summer of 2016 and her research in balance has added many great contributions to our company and our unique 10-week balance program, Balance University.  She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center.

Jill moved to Naples in 2006.  She is the mother of two children and has a passion for teaching.  Also, she routinely fosters kittens for the local animal shelter in Naples, FL.

My wife, Emily and me
My name is Chris R. Williams and I have been a personal trainer for 17 years.  I was a successful athlete at Orangefield High School in Orange, TX.  Also, I had the opportunity to play football at Northwestern State University where we won a conference championship.  I returned home and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX where I studied Dietetics and Nutrition.  During those years, I competed as a bodybuilder culminating my career in a win in the Golden Triangle Classic as the Heavyweight and the shows Overall Winner.  The experience that I have earned is as valuable as the education I received and I apply that unique knowledge to every single client at Emeritus Health.

Dr. Obayduer Khan, MD, a geriatric provider, helped me to see the great need for America's aging population to get active in order to increase flexibility, improve gait and increase lean muscle mass.  Due to inactivity, your muscles will atrophy and you will become weak and unstable.  I developed Emeritus Health to focus specifically on ALL the health and fitness challenges that the 'aging' population face in their daily lives.  I work with clients after surgeries and physical therapy to continue the therapy and progress that was being made.  In many cases, insurance will not allow for the client to reach the level they were at before the procedure.  I will come into your home and help you return to your active lifestyle and reach your goals.

I love what I do and the challenges my clients provide for me on a regular basis.  I encourage you to call and take advantage of our FREE orientation today and get your balance and your independence back!

Holly Bruzina CPT.
Balance University Instructor/Certified Personal Trainer

Hello, I’m Holly Bruzina.  I became a fitness instructor and personal trainer three years ago after retiring from a corporate job of 30 years.  Although I learned so much about people & psychology, work processes, teamwork and had some of the best corporate training and experiences, I always knew there was something different that I wanted to do once I retired from Corporate America.  I hit the ground running and got my group fitness instructor certificate, then Silver Sneakers training and certificates, CPR, and then spent nine months studying and preparing for the American College of Exercises Personal Trainer exam.  Not having a medical background, I had a lot to learn.  I began teaching the older population cardio and strength training at two YMCA’s in Cincinnati.  That led to more teaching and training at several senior homes.  I was also working with a younger set of people at Mercy Health Plex in Cincinnati doing Personal Training. I was fortunate to be trained through the Council of Aging and become a facilitator for wellness programs including Diabetes, Chronic Disease Management, and Balance and Falling workshops.  All the while, I kept thinking, “I should really learn more about balance to help the older population.”  Almost every person I talked with before or after class mentioned that their “balance wasn't what it used to be.”  I heard the request over and over.  I started researching it.  I came up with a balance & stability exercise class routine that I taught, including to Parkinson Patients.  I’ve had three years of working one-on-one with over 100 people, and I’ve taught over 350 group fitness classes with the older population, and Parkinsons.  When my husband and I relocated to Florida last fall, one of my primary goals was to continue learning and teaching balance improvement skills to people.  Fortunately, I came across meeting Chris Williams at a Balance University class in Estero. I realized how closely my goals were to what Chris had already figured out.

My immediate family (including 81-yr. old snowbird parents, and both brothers, also live here in Southwest Florida). I have two grown children and four grandchildren.  The things that I enjoy the most are “helping motivate people to keep moving,” any type of outdoor exercise, music and dancing, gardening and creative projects.

I look forward to continuing the Journey of Balance and being a part of the Balance University Team.

To reach your fitness goals, no matter what they are, you must move the mind and the spirit to the destination and the body will follow.  Just like a fire, you need three elements: knowledge of fitness, knowledge of nutrition and motivation. - Chris R. Williams (Founder of Emeritus Health)
